Road Schooled is indirectly about experiential education so exploring the site would be a good way to learn more about it.  Here are a few photos and a link to get you started.

In a pictorial nutshell, I solo road tripped the lower 48:

Kayaking with alligators in the Everglades.

Camping on the beach and saving sea turtles at Padre Island National Seashore.

Building houses in Musician's Village New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina survivors.

That is me on the left wearing the straw hat and geeky science shirt.  My solo travels started when I dropped out of the chemistry PhD program at the University of Minnesota, packed up my car with camping gear, and hit the road to somewhere.  Road Schooled is about what I learned on the non-traditional road.  For a more detailed introduction, read the first post:
